Social Media 4 Marketers

Crowd sourcing, Twitter Trends, widgets, gidgets and bears. Oh my! Social-media is a sophisticated topic if you want it to work. Most network marketing companies have a Facebook account and occasionally throw a quote or two on Twitter to try to impress prospects.  The fact is, very few companies have a sophisticated Social-media plan.
Whether your company is large or small, you know you must get involved with social media. The problem for most companies is where to start and agencies that know what they are doing usually don’t tell you what you are in for to really succeed. To understand social-media your company is going to have to know:

1 – Everyone must work together.
If your IT department, marketing team and sales trainers don’t work together, your social media strategy is doomed. Collaboration is critical to success.

2 – Management must be on board with the social media plan.
If the marketing director or whoever is in charge of social media does not have 100% buy in from the execs, you are better off to admit defeat now. The plan must be agreed so that your company can adapt on the fly as you explore the possibilities of new media
.
3 – Allow your company to make mistakes.
Social media is constantly changing and expanding. If you have a long-term goal, you can weather mistakes without fear as you press forward to achieve your social media objectives.
